BaubleBar Necklace

I've been dreaming of this necklace for months.  They never have it in stock. I randomly checked the BaubleBar site this past weekend and it was back! And for $10!  It arrived yesterday and it is so beautiful.  And arrived with a free lipstick! I can't wait to layer it with other delicate necklaces.

Click here to see if you can snatch it up! Sometimes they restock.

Here is the lipstick I am wearing:

"White bikini off with my red nail polish"

Summer has come early this year in Utah.  We were able to start laying out in January.  Unheard of for a skiing destination!
I love to listen to Lana Del Rey while I tan.  Her music is so calming and glamorous.  Naturally the lyrics to "Off to the Races" are always inspiring in the hot sun.

Swimming pool glimmering darling
White bikini off with my red nail polish
Watch me in the swimming pool
Bright blue ripples, you sittin', sippin' on your black Cristal

Lana singing the song live

All this made me want to get my very own white bikini so when summer really rolls around I can wear it with some red nail polish.  And me being me, I naturally bought two.

Oh and here's the OPI polish I'll use on my toes: Big Apple Red

"When you love something...buy every color"

Every fashion magazine, fashion designer, and stylist in history will tell you the same thing: "When you love something you should buy every color."  When it comes to clothes, I live by this motto.  I think that when something fits you perfectly and you adore it, you should buy at least 3 colors.  I do this with J. Crew Cotton Tees, J. Crew Ballet Flats, J. Crew Cashmere Sweaters, and now this Victoria's Secret "Teeny Triangle Bikini" top.  I've bought different bottoms for each, but I can't get enough of this super simple, flattering bikini top.

J. Crew 'Cleo' Loafer

Another fantastic pair of flat shoes that are very de rigueur right now: my J. Crew 'Cleo' Loafers.  I bought these in a size 6, knowing they'd be too big.  But I loved them so much, I had to have them!  They remind me of Kendall Jenner, who has become one of my style icons recently.  I checked their website everyday for a month. Finally a 5 and 5.5 appeared!  I ordered them both and they arrive today.  I can't wait to have a pair that fits perfectly (and to return the other 2 pairs).  I think they will look so chic with one of my many new skinny J Brand jeans.

You can buy them here.

Manolo Blahnik Turquoise/Aqua Terry-Trimmed Suede Driver

Last night I wore my new Manolo Blahnik Driving Mocassins for the second time.  I was obsessed with these shoes when they came out, but they were originally $500 and couldn't justify the purchase.  I resigned myself to the fact that I couldn't have them.  I'd look at them online occasionally and dream.  Then one day I woke up in the middle of the night and thought "I should see if they've gone on sale."  That morning, first thing I did was go to Neiman Marcus' website.  There was only one left in my size (5.5), on sale plus an extra percentage off sale!  Since we don't have a Neiman's in Utah, I was also getting them tax free & with free shipping.  The total came to $259!  And after I quickly put them in the cart & purchased them, I went back and they were now sold out.  I got the last pair.  The adrenaline was rushing.  I couldn't believe it.

They are beautiful shoes and I'm so happy I was able to snatch them up.  My timing was unbelievable.

Being thankful...

After reading an article in ALLURE where the stylist for "House of Cards" said that you only really need a pair of black and nude Louboutins to match any outfit, I started to realize how lucky I am to have my Louboutin collection.  I take my wardrobe for granted sometimes, but I'm going to start appreciating all the wonderful pieces I own and get to use whenever I want.
